We popped in for a quick snack while shopping in town. It is a small, cute restaurant - service was good. We ordered chips and guac-both the chips and guac needed salt and the was no salt on the table. We also ordered an al pastor taco, a chorizo taco and a cochinita pibil taco. The tacos were pretty small and a little skimpy on the filling. The flavor was just okay- at $4.50 a taco.
I was initially discouraged by their menu saying “authentic mexican” while listing things like chimichangas (tex-mex), but decided to give a try, and was very pleased. My child enjoyed the flautas i loved the gorditas, they were delicious, same with their agua de jamaica, not to sweet and perfect consistency, will give it a try again.
Mama Tacos is the best Mexican restaurant in New Milford. Great tacos. Must try.
