We had such a great time at the hotel. It's Rustic and quirky with all the charm and friendliness of an Aussie pub. The food was magnificent, truly restaurant quality, with some variations that are not to be missed. The Tassie Tiger pie is probably the most delicious we've ever had. Made every morning from slow cooked lamb, gorgeous sauce and golden, crispy pastry. Yum. We stayed 3 nights and it was the perfect spot to investigate some of Tasmania's most beautiful features and areas.
Just popped in to get 6 cans of soft drink for the family and spent $30. I understand times are tough and that costs are rising, but charging $5 per can of coke is extortionate, especially when it is the only place in town at night to get a cold drink.
Lovely location and meals. Nice to see platypuses. Sad no free camping now

Stayed in Mole Creek and came to the pub for dinner. Pleasantly surprised as the the owners ( German heritage ) have a very unique and excellent menu. Food was excellent as was the service. We will certainly be back and stay Well done and thank you…. Ric Q
