Rude and rushes
Misdiagnosed or rather undiagnosed my genetic disease as diabetic neuropathy solely on the fact I have diabetes - even though I have had a perfect AIC for the majority of my time having diabetes. I had kept going to him for years, meanwhile my neuropathy was getting worse. I go to a new neurologist and find out he missed my CMT! It’s a degenerative genetic disease he missed and knew nothing about and I’m so beyond devastated. His attitude was arrogant and he didn’t listen to anything I’d have to say. Every appointment is extremely rushed after waiting about an hour each time to see him. He has med students in there all the time and I was never once asked if that was ok. More importantly, he misdiagnosed my genetic disease as diabetic neuropathy solely on the fact I have diabetes - even though I have had a perfect AIC for the majority of my life. First and only visit. Had to wear a mask, even though I have zero likelihood of being sick, it's not flu season, and the pandemic has been over for years. He changed my medication to a new one that costs twice as much because it's new and pushed by drug reps. My old medication was a once monthly shot that worked for YEARS and he's saying I should take a daily pill because the new medication is 'superior'. Spoiler alert, it's not. I have Ehler's Danlos. I process medication differently. That means I need Botox every 10 weeks.... read more
