I should have put this up years ago. If I could give negative stars I would. Several years ago I called for a price and scheduled a delivery for kerosene. The woman I spoke to quoted and charged the OIL price rather than the kero price. Later when doing the bookkeeping she noticed the mistake and went into my bank account and took out the difference. Only good thing was they were pretty regular at deliveries. They over charge by a significant amount. I had been a customer of there's for the last 11 years as my father- in- law had been an employee. This last time I was charged 5.98 a gallon which is significantly more than most oil dealers around my area. According to the EIA website the average price was 5.07 on March 7th 2022. We have had Mohegan oil for 5-6 years now. We have always had a good experience with them. Timely deliveries and positive customer service interactions when I’ve called with a question and setting up our account. But felt compelled to leave a written review today after service that went above and beyond. 48 hours ago we just began to dig out from a winter storm that had left 2+ feet of snow on the ground. The Spicer / Mohegan OIl team is great. We are on a 24/7 support contract and the oil burner stopped working on a Friday night in a cold snap in January 2020. Technician came right out and got things running. Then came back promptly later that night when it turned off again. Got us back up and running with new parts to update our old burner.
I would not even rate this company . The worst customer service ! I moved in and found out the furnace unit Was on contract with this company for its regular maintenance — because I know something about this unit I noticed there was NO FILTER - someone from maintenance took out the filter and NEVER put it back! In fact this system has been running for sometime without a FILTER ,which was #370051 PERMANENT FILTER! I have called them and only been told LIES !!
