Don’t let the outside fool you—we had a great meal and excellent service at Mohawk Seafood Tavern. This family-owned spot has a welcoming, laid-back feel, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The fresh oysters were spot on, and everything we ordered was well prepared and flavorful. Glad we ended up here and would definitely come back.
Mohawk is a staple in Monroe with great history and wonderful food and folks. Meatball poboy is simply delicious along with so many other dishes. Went back for the Seafood platter, catfish platter and crawfish alfredo, it was all as expected very good with great service.
My family has been coming here for years and we always stop in any time we're passing through. The seafood is fresh and always delicious, seasoned just right. Pretty much everything on the menu is great but it's the seafood you come here for. My favorites are the shrimp poyboy and stuffed crab platter.
