My father was diagnosed over Thanksgiving while inpatient at Royal oak Beaumont. He was discharged after about a week of being there and was told to follow up with this doctor because it was who seen him in the hospital. Fast forward to mid January… my dad has been rescheduled multiple times (all tests needed are done) and has not heard from this doctor and has no idea the advancement and exact diagnosis of his cancer. Very compassionate, open to 2nd 3rd and beyond opinions, collaborative with other doctors and people in my medical team. Actively listens to my concerns while educating me on treatments and different things that I need to know to make educated decisions about my health
Chisti is great himself. Been with him since I have a PE in 2018. My issue is with the office staff. They are dismissive and cancel appointments when you ask to change them to virtual. Not telling you that your appointment is cancelled until you inquire after your appointment time that the office didn’t tell you wasn’t a thing anymore. They also were not apologetic when I explained I can’t wait around all day for a call after hours when it was never communicated that I would get a call over 4 hours later, maybe. Dr. Chisti is wonderful. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly. He even made me a diagram so I could understand things. I highly recommend him.
