I saw Dr. Maroof for 3 years and only left because I moved out of state. I have been difficult to medicate, and had 2 previous psychiatrists who were not able to find a combination of meds that worked for me, without making me a zombie. Dr. Maroof was diligent in my care, took the most detailed notes I've ever seen a Dr. take and while she at times felt a little distant, I always knew I was in very capable hands. My life is balanced and the healthiest it's been in years, thanks to Dr. Maroof.
I was looking for medication management for my 14 yr old daughter. Dr. Maroof was not able to help us because she does not work with anyone who has any sort of substance abuse problems. Despite the fact that all we needed was medication management (substance abuse being handled elsewhere), Dr. Maroof was unwilling to take my daughter on because, according to her staff, is "not comfortable" with drug use.
