My favorite florist in all of Berkeley! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and sources high-quality flowers - you won't find roses this big at any grocery chains I guarantee you that. The prices are fair - my lilies (7 buds total) were $13.50 including tax. He also offers student and returning customer discounts. P.S. Moe was amazing! This was my first time visiting him, so I called ahead to ask about pricing. He actually waited until after I arrived before taking his lunch break. He was incredibly kind and worked with me to stay within my budget, giving me an amazing price on these six gorgeous sunflowers. I’d checked a few grocery stores beforehand, and not only were they significantly more expensive per stem, but the flowers were also wilted and nowhere near this quality. I went into the store to buy flowers and I went into the store and asked a question about how the flowers were developed and he got offended from the question and from there as the conversation continued I was berated by the owner Moe with insults. I see from the reviews it seems to be with minorities (as I am a black man) he seems to have a problem with melanated people.
I love this place. Moe is a grumpy old man who can come off as harsh when you first meet him haha, but he has a heart of gold. His flowers are always fresh, he gives good prices, and he’s incredibly hardworking. He’s the kind of person who will give you the shirt off his back when he knows he can trust you.
