My experience with Modern Plumbing and Backflow was Horrendous. Their Tech misdiagnosed my leaking pipe as a roof repair problem even though my Ceiling on the FIRST FLOOR was leaking. When a roofing expert came, they said it was laughable that a plumber actually told me it was a roofing issue. When MPB was called back, they set up another appointment and NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED. Do not do business with them. Did not show up within a 4 hour window and when I called to find out why I was told the tech. had a water emergency. OK I understand that but how about a call. I was frustrated and expressed this to the agent on the phone who immediately transferred me to the owner who told me to take my business elsewhere. Happily!

Please save yourself the headache and frustration by not using Modern Plumbing & Backflow. This company is a complete scam, the staff and manager are rude. They tried to scam me out of $1,454.13 for my hot water heater, toilet, and bathroom faucets. I received a invoice and a quote at my email address. The invoice is for $278.20 and the quote is for $1,175.93. The technician snaked my toilet because it was getting clogged frequently, but the issue still remained. Paul was my technician today. It was a super nice experience. My dishwasher repair man had told me that he thought the problem with my dishwasher not cleaning was the water temperature. Paul checked the water temperature on the hot water heater. It was not the temperature. Checked to make sure the dishwasher was hooked up correctly. It was hooked up properly. Now it is time to call the repair man again. I hope the service is as good as what I received from Modern Plumbing today.

Would never use them again. Technician had no idea what he was talking about, and the morning they were to do the job, they called with an additional amount on the bid which the technician was aware of. Owner/customer service lady was very rude and defensive, and did not seem concerned at all that she had an unhappy customer. I was introduced to them thru the home warranty company and would never use them.
