This people are incompetent. Came out for annual maintenance service, and said that they found a refrigerant leak (and charged me for "leak inspection"), then tried to convince me to get a new system. I called another company which definitively said there is no leak, just a tad low on refrigerant which they replenished. I feel that their technicians are incompetent and lazy; they don't try to diagnose issues but just sell you a new unit. Stay away.
Customer Service Representatives for this company are very pleasant and efficient, and the technicians are great. Only caveat is that the techs try selling you all kinds of extra equipment you didn’t inquire about when you scheduled the visit. In addition, the maintenance inspections you pay $99 extra for yearly are not always honored. Today, they arrived, after I spent a half hour on the phone setting up the inspections before the end of the year when our maintenance contract is up. Modern mechanical charged $120 service fee but provided NO information on what is wrong with my water heater and NO repair options even though my unit is only three years old. The only option they offered is installing a new 30 gallon heater for a whooping $3000 with no information on the water heater they are planning to install. Avoid them.
The technicians William and Joey were very knowledgeable and professional. William tried to repair our Water Heater, but when the problem recurred and the parts were not available, we had to get the heater replaced. They installed the water heater the day it was made available by the supplier and Joey installed it with additional updates to make it compliant to the county code. Stay away,,,,and call other companies and get a few estimates first. I found them as ONE HOUR AC in Northern VA through their website, it turns out that they are Modern Mechanical. My AC was leaking water. Technician diagnosed it as a clogged pipe. They charge $99 to show up and 199 dollars to unclog a pipe which was a 5 minute job. In most places, if you get the repair from a company the cost of travel and diagnosis is waived. I paid them $299 even though I tried to explain myself to the company's customer service.
