I don't know why getting divorced has to be so confusing - they really don't make it easy. For starters my X lives in Ventura and I moved to LA, we had problems scheduling visits with the kids, more problems about alimony, and even more problems about banks accounts I had no access to AND his credit card spending! I'm so glad we chose mediation instead of lawyers. It's not for everybody, I know, but if you can do it - it's the way to go. We chose to go with attorney Kristina Kell for this process. Kristina was amazing to work with. She explained everything in a way that actually made sense, and kept things calm even when the situation wasn't. She's fair, she's organized and she really knows what she's doing. I honestly felt lucky to have her guiding the process.
