These people are the best at manipulating you, I had ask specifically for a two-year annuity which they were hard pressed to sell me a ten-year annuity. After it was all said and done I found out later that they indeed locked me into a ten-year annuity and now I need to pay a surrender fee and lose money that I previously invested. Deven W helped me with life insurance and a vision/hearing and dental plan. He helped me save money on other insurances I had. He explained on what wS needed and a breakdown of how insurances work. Very thoughtful, knowledgeable and honest with me.
These guys can't take no for an answer. They have repeatedly called and even shown up at our door unannounced. Every time we told them we were happy with our current advisor and to not call again. In nearly every case they ask the name of our current advisory company and the proceed to bad mouth them. This is really a poor way to go about winning customers by not listening to their wishes and then to demean the decisions they have already made. SENIORS BEWARE: Cold call by one of their agents trying to shove his plan (medicare enrollment) down our throats. He was speaking with my wife and gave the phone to me for clarification of the plan. When my working coverage ended suddenly, they were able to find a plan for me that started right away. This plan is even better than the one I had before. Good people. They know their stuff.
My agent has been wonderful about making sure I know all of the options available so I can make the best choice. I always appreciate the he never tries to advocate for a certain one. He just shows me the menu and lets me choose.
I've worked with my agent at Modern for a few years, and he has really removed a lot of the confusion over how my program works. I never realized how much I didn't know.
