I was a patient at Modern Dermatology in Westport for over 3 years. A brown spot on my cheek was repeatedly dismissed as acne, and filler was even added to it --which another doctor later said should never have been done. When I switched offices, a biopsy immediately revealed invasive basal cell carcinoma. I required Mohs surgery, leaving a 5-inch scar down the middle of my cheek. I cannot recommend Dr. Shayan Cheraghlou enough! I almost broke into tears in his office because he was the first dermatologist to actually make me feel seen and to sympathize with the severity of my eczema. Other doctors continued to right prescriptions for cream after cream, none of which worked. Dr. Cheraghlou was the first dermatologist to give me a thorough exam and to do a biopsy. I finally have some faith that we can figure out a treatment that works!
