Absolutely love coming to Modern Animal. We’ve utilized many of their clinics in Austin and LA over the years with great success. We have an extremely dog-reactive pitbull, which obviously requires an intentional amount of extra caution when moving through public spaces. Every Modern Animal team seems to be well-versed in supporting “special” dogs like ours, and curating a smooth experience for both human and pup. I love it here! My baby Salem and I love this place. Dr. Heidi & Hannah (Hope I spelled that right) were very patient with him & kind. 🥹He was nervous for his first visit but I look forward to bringing him again when he’s due for his next visit so he can get used to the environment and his new friends. I was also nervous myself! I’m always on high-alert when it comes to him but they were patient & educational with me- love that!!! This place is crazy cat mom approved ;-)!
Friendly, welcoming staff made the entire visit feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. The doctor was attentive and genuinely took the time to listen to all of my concerns and questions without rushing, which I really appreciated. We went to Modern Animal South Lamar for the first time today and had the best experience we’ve had with a vet clinic so far for our 4-year-old, 140 lb pit bull, Cesar. He may look large and in charge, but he’s actually very shy and anxious, and vet visits have always been a challenge for us. Jamie was absolutely wonderful with him. She was so kind and patient, and she was able to do things that normally require both me and his dad to help hold him still.
