Kinda underwhelming experience, though the donuts themselves were fine. Appropriately hewy, and about the sweetness I expected (black sesame, not-to-sweet, the brulee one, rather sweet). You order on your own— no interaction with people. I was really expecting a bomb Korean corn dog and it was bland:( I wanted the fried cheese to be good, but it lacked in flavor.
Enjoyed an absolutely delightful treat at Mochinut (Downtown San Jose) their mochi donuts are a perfect blend of chewy, fluffy, and flavorful. I tried the Raspberry Flower donut, and it completely won me over. The bright, fruity raspberry glaze was beautifully balanced, not overly sweet and paired perfectly with that signature light + springy mochi texture. Each bite was a mini celebration of flavor and fun shape! Highly recommend stopping by Mochinut for a bright, chewy raspberry mochi donut fix, you won’t regret it!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish. I called ahead to ask how long it would take to get donuts and was told 7–8 minutes. Based on that, I drove over. When I arrived, I had some questions about the flavors, but there was no one to speak with — all the staff seemed to be hiding in the back. So my family and I came down here from Sacramento on Sunday to celebrate a birthday. San Pedro Square is a cool spot in SJ that has multiple food and drink options, as well as live music. We all had a good time, and everyone had fun, except for out experience at Mochinut. Towards the end of our celebritation, the kids wanted to explore inside the building.
