RIP-OFF ARTIST. Last Spring the proprietor of this one-man company, Scott Olds, gave me a reasonable quote for the repair of my snowthrower. After he took the machine the quote was significantly increased and I ended up paying him in excess of $300 for the work. The seasons’s first snow was last week and I discoveand that the three major problems that that Scott Olds had supposedly fixed remained as before. Scott ripped me off. He said it was fixed but it is behaving exactly the way it was before I gave him $90. I called him and texted him several times and he has not replied. He insisted on cash only and does not provide a receipt of address, so my only recourse is this negative review.
The is a thief. Now I know why he doesn't list any address or answer his phone. He took my mower and quoted $95 to repair (difficult to start). Later called said it was fixed and the cost was $150. I told him I would pay what he quoted only. He agreed and brought it back and took the $95. Mower had not been touched and he suggested I use a carb cleaner and then would never return my calls.
