My experience was generally good. All staff were friendly, patient and professional with my questions. Only suggestion I have is info to possibly include in the at-home prep procedures. I would like to have known the specific purpose and effects each med would present, e.g., after taking the two little orange pills and after mixing the powder into a 10oz 'glass' of water... info like a range of how fast and how long the effects would happen. I cant say enough great things about my experience with MNGI and my first colonoscopy. I had so much anxiety due to other peoples negative comments about prepping, etc. From my first phone call to MNGI to schedule my appt to the discharge after my procedure - everything was flawless. The staff was so kind and caring. Every step of the way things were explained to me - how to prep, day of procedure process and to call at anytime if I had questions or concerns. I was extremely disappointed by our experience with Dr. Basman. He began the appointment by making a joke about me 'running away' on my sister while I was briefly out of the room. Given her history of trauma/neglect, this was incredibly inappropriate and showed a total lack of empathy or effort to build rapport. Beyond the initial comment, the doctor was distracted, rushed, and repeatedly cut me off when I tried to ask questions.
