Saw Dr Gao and was very disappointed with my care. She walked in not knowing my name, clearly didn’t review my health file. Not only that, but my vitals and medical history weren’t taken until after the visit was complete due to rooming error. I wanted to seen as a whole person with medical history and connect symptoms but she was only focusing on one symptom, jumping to an endoscopy without suggesting less invasive tests first. Very unhappy with my visit.
Very unprofessional. Did not send a link for the appt. It took until 8:07am to reach a person to talk to. Then until 8:15am for them to send the link and by then the link was expired. We were told they called and left a voicemail, which is a lie. I have no missed calls and my voicemail is full so no one can leave messages. Then instead of honoring my son's appt, they tell me I need to reschedule. I will be looking elsewhere for care.

I was denied an endoscopy today because I could not "prove" that I am not pregnant (even though I told them that I am on birth control), something that was NEVER brought up in the prep or in any appointments I had previous to my procedure. They told me that I could leave, get tested, and then call to reschedule. It is horribly unprofessional to let someone get all the way into the procedure room before telling them vital information that they would need for their procedure, and also incredibly short-sighted to not offer preg... read more
