They told me I couldn't receive therapy and suggested I should go to a private practice, which felt like a slap in the face given the effort I put into finding a therapist there. So much for supporting students.
Felt very supported and heard. Such a great and healing experience.
These services appear to be for short-term help. I saw several graduate students, who couldn't help me with my problems at all, and they eventually stopped booking me as a client, and referred me to outside help. Later, as an employee, I used my 5 free EAP sessions to speak with an actual doctor who kept repeating to me "just keep trying" over and over to anything I said. Well, what I'm trying obviously isn't working, Doc. Thanks a lot.
