Best Seabass Dish I've Ever Tasted!!! Diamond in the rough! – Mizu is like a diamond in the rough, small and barely visible but with food, ambience and hospitality so good you can actually feel the chef's love of cooking. Their seabass is something that makes me crave and want to go back every chance I get. Me and my son drive 25 minutes just to eat at Mizu. I also like their appetizer called sunumono which is a seafood salad and their ice cream dessert that is rolled on a rice cake. I hope they open one in Brier Creek. This... read more
Wonderful food, service and hospitality! – When you enter, warm welcomes are your greeting. it is a small place, but well-decorated, with a big sushi bar. Watch the "train" of sushi go by, and pick your favorite a la carte sushi for an appetizer while you order. It may not be on the menu, but try the Sweet Dream Roll for flavor on top of flavor! All the sushi is fresh, well porportioned and made by experienced sushi-chefs. The wait staff are usually on top of their game, and keep your glass filled and your entrees coming to ... read more
TRY THE SOY-GINGER BASS!!!!! – My family and I went to this restaurant based on what we read on this website. It was a bit hard to find, but was easy to get a seat at 5:30 on a Sunday. We were promptly greeted, and beverages were brought out just as promptly. We ordered a mixture of appitizers (edamame, gyozo, crab miso soup), 4 various rolls of their speciality sushi, and entree's of the Soy-Ginger Bass, and the Tempura Udon. Though the place wasn't very busy, and 2 people were making sushi at the bar, it took about 30min f... read more
We have lived in Japan for 3 years and we know how the food and presentation should be,it was great. We have traveled for over 1 hour 3 times and will go back many more times.Best
Love it!! – Great sushi, fair prices, pleasant waitstaff, unique and appealing atmosphere...And a train!! What more could you ask for????
Great Sushi!!! – I live in Benson,NC and travel to Mizu's to get great sushi. Being japanese, I do know my taste in sushi. I recommend the Bento Box for the first timers, it kinda gives you a little taste of everything. They give you plenty of food for a great value!
Family friendly – Mizu was a delight for the whole family. We went to Mizu for the first time in July of 07 and from there I was hooked. The next week I had to take my co-workers so they could see this place. At first I was a little worried about the size of the place but soon after I entered I was greeted and seated in a timely fashion. The tables were adorned with candles which was nice but I was not worried about a romantic time since I was dining alone. lol Well I first had the Mary roll with a side of Ika. I spoke with ... read more
Are you kidding? – After reading the glowing reviews so far I have to wonder which Mizu they went to, because the one I went to at the exact same address was nothing like that. The first time we went we were 2 of perhaps 6 or 7 people waiting on the hostess to seat us. There were plenty of open tables and seats at the sushi bar, yet minute after minute passed while this girl zipped around the place like a lost neutron as if she were in charge of the lifeboats on the Titanic. She never acknowledged any of us. It wasn't until ... read more
Poor Service – My wife and I went to Mizu on a Wednesday night to celebrate our anniversary. The place was about 1/3 full, but it still took our server 15 minutes to introduce herself and pour our water. One good thing - the 15 minute wait gave me an opportunity to observe the yellowing sushi on the train. The food was ok, but Waraji in Raleigh was much better.
