A split plate charge in this day is unheard of. Miyabi's is especially high. I will not be visiting this business. It is cheap and tawdry.
I first tried Miyabis in Greenville and thought it was good. When we moved to Columbia and searched for a sushi restaurant and tried several in Columbia, we found most of them too expensive for their "chain" sushi taste and expected the same at Miyabis and it is now our favorite and several friends go their regularly because of our recommendation.
