My beloved cat was dying with sarcoma cancer. I'd been giving him gabapentin from a different pharmacy for pain and suffering. The click pens that I received from the other pharmacy were defective, and didn't dispense his medicine properly. My new vet recommended The Pet Apothecary, and I went there to pick up his prescription - this was a Thursday. Ever since mixlab took over ive had nothing but issues. My dog needs the same medications every 3 months, and every 3 months I always get an email saying there's been an issue with my order... this is completely unacceptable. They waited until after they closed today to send me that email. I was told originally that they dont charge your card until they begin making your order, we'll I was charged 7 days ago and am now finding out there's an issue. Poor communication! Placed a refill order June 14. June 17, I get a vague message that the order has been delayed. June 22, no updates, so I contact Mixlab. June 24, they tell me "the medication you ordered is currently on backorder with no estimated restock date." Now I have to scramble with my vet to find another pharmacy who can fill the order before my dog runs out of meds! Why didn't they tell me earlier so I had more time to find an alternative? Why did I have to reach out to them to get answers?
They never follow through with their prescriptions or notify the customer that they need to pay before anything is created. Our vet sent a script for them to compound and we chose this option rather than waiting for another place to ship the medication to us since mixlab is local. Vet sent over the script 1PM and it’s been over 24 hrs without being notified we had to PAY before the medicine is made.
