Dr. Wachtel is a very proactive podiatrist. He assessed my ongoing foot and ankle issues, made his diagnosis and provided a treatment plan. I received a cortisone shot in one foot to help alleviate my pain. I had x-rays taken next door to his Lowell office at Lowell General. Visited for the first time on 7/3 and like another person who left a poor review for that day, also felt dismissed and rushed. I had to make a follow up appointment to review xrays and wait 3 weeks. At my follow up appointment Dr Wachtel wasn't prepared at all, didn't know what I was visiting for, what we were following up about, which foot had pain or where, etc. He then TOLD me we would do a painful shot without informing me why first, or getting consent. Awful. My daughter went to this office for care. They called her a half hour before they wanted to come in as they had an earlier opening. This was the day before 4th of July. From the moment she walked, she was rushed she was given no paper with a definitive diagnosis, they threw braces at her didn’t show her how to use them, told her to go get an x-ray at the hospital next-door.
