Myself and previous gynecologist waited and watched a cyst on my left ovary for 5 plus years .3 of those years were post menapausal. Dr. SCHUSTER REMOVED MY LEFT OVARY AND TUBE. HIS SKILL WAS AMAZING AS I cannot see any of the incision marks. There was a concern when I woke , he nicked my colon and told my husband and between the 2 decided it wasn't worth mentioning. During a procedure done in the office, he did NOT listen to me that I was in pain. I was crying and hurting the entire time. The nurse was bloating my tears and told him I was in pain too. Did NOT listen. I called his office later on stating I was in pain, went there in person, and still managed to NOT listen to me. Came off extremely rude (apparently he was in surgery all day - not my fault!) His office managed to call in prescriptions I am allergic to also. After complications from a previous surgery, not done by this surgeon, I attempted to seek answers regarding a condition resulting from that surgery from Dr, Scheuster. I left that office more frustrated and upset than when I entered. I will be seeking care elsewhere. I found him to be confrontational, sarcastic and lacking empathy. Rather than move slowly and try to gain my trust, he wanted to rush right in with testing and treatments I feel that are out of date. I found Dr Schuster after contact the Medtronic company for a recommendation after my previous doctor, who had performed the implant left town! Dr. Schuster reviewed my history and fulfilled my need for great communication, alternatives to additional surgery and good follow-up.

The Medtronic Sacral Neuromodulation implant for OAB didn't work for me. I fault this office for: After surgery, nobody asked if Medtronic had called to find out if the setting on the device was helping. Also, Dr. Schuster wanted to remove the device after trying only 2 settings (of 17). He didn't get it that it was not acceptable to give up after only trying 2 settings, but after 8 settings didn't work, it was reasonable to give up. He rubbed it in that the device had to be removed after all.

I looked for a doctor who could address the issues I am having after childbirth (35 years ago), hysterectomy, other pelvic surgeries, and now extreme discomfort. Dr. Schuster's qualifications and specialty areas sounded tailor made for me. I saw him today & was impressed with his knowledge, thoroughness, & kindness. I trust him to do the surgery we discussed. I've already recommended him to my sister.

I was sure I would need surgery. He offered other alternatives. I could not be happier with him or his Office. I was recommended to him, by almost everyone in my Sunday School Class. He spends a lot of time explaining what he is doing and why. I live about 40 miles from his office. I will never begrudge the time it takes to get to him. Totally worth the Drive. His Nurse, Maria, is also an Angel.
