I was a patient at this practice since it’s opening. And because Dr. Mitchell refuses to interact with the insurance companies and prescription drug plans and when I finally confronted her on this she kicked me out of the practice. Last week, after taking my husband’s co-pay, for his appointment, she went and kicked him out of the practice. The reason was because he was ‘rude’, when he told the receptionist that he doesn’t share his Social Security number and didn’t have a credit card (we prefer to pay with cash). Dr. Patsy Mitchell dismissed me after she heard me talking to the receptionist/ scheduler about making a later appointment so it wouldn't be such a long wait. Dr. Mitchell overheard the conversation, but never came out to talk to me. Believe me, I was not loud at all. Once I got home the receptionist call and stated "Dr. Mitchell said if I am not please with her healthcare services I can find another one. Dr. Mitchell never accepted my calls nor returned my calls. pparently does not see people with chronic pre-existing conditions such as pots. Have never heard of an office require the 7+ pages of paperwork BEFORE being told if they're accepted to be seen. Sounds like patient profiling, yet it's likely completely legal since they are private and non-sghs affiliated haha
While Dr Mitchell is really a conscientious and caring Dr, the accountant who handles the fees is not. Each time we arrived we were told we owed anywhere from $50-100+ and could not see the doctor until payment was made. When we brought it to the attention of the office worker often she would call and it would be confirmed we did not owe anything, as we had told them. This became quite frustrating for each visit.
