I took my dogs here to be groomed. The groomer "mixed up" some unknown chemicals with the grooming products. Both my dogs ended up with chemical burns covering their bodies. I brought the first one in and Dr. Covington misdiagnosed him and insisted it had nothing to do with the grooming. I then got home and realized my other dog had the same thing and they were getting sicker. I rushed them both to the emergency vet who said they had chemical burns. We adopted a beautiful little Pom Mix from Mitchel Mill. He has been the joy of our life. I don't remember ever having such a wonderful, loving dog. Everyone at this facility was honest, sincere and concerned that the adoption was well suited to our situation. We made several trips to the facility - approximately an hour's drive - to see numerous adoption candidates. They were honest and forthright about the numerous dogs we saw. We have been contacting local animal rescue organizations for months trying to find a small dog. Of the three we contacted and applied to before Mitchell Mill, we were told that there were many in line ahead of us and that it would take two or more weeks to process our application. And every single time, the dogs we were interested in were gone way before we could even meet them. Best Vet in the area! Dr C and the staff at Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing! They always go above and beyond for you. I know that when my pup is with them that she is in the best of care and the best of hands. Awesome Rescue! Adopt your next pet at MMAH! – It's hard to see a negative comment posted about this awesome place! We have adopted several pets from their rescue over the years....each time the staff was personal and knowledgable. Avoid Adopting A Pet Here!!! – We adopted a puppy here and noted that he was having behavioral issues with grawling and biting adults in our home. We returned the puppy to the Animal Hospital and they immediately put the puppy back up for adoption. They stated that they were going to do an evaluation on him. I would not think that they would be able to do this in a matter of hours. They were very disfunctional here. We got very attached to the puppy and hated having to return it. Best Vet I've Ever Had – I too am surprised by the few negative reviews. Dr. Covington and her staff saved the life of my beloved 12 year-old cat after he developed megacolon. I had always been pleased with my former vet until big Dean became ill. The poor cat went through a painful ordeal and was put on expensive medicine that did nothing.
