Everyone was great except for Dr Mitchell Kaye. I asked for a chest x ray as a 5 year check up on my lung surgery. He told me it was not medically necessary, insurance wouldn’t cover it, and he wouldn’t do surgery if he saw something. I told him I know it’s not necessary but I would like it for my own peace of mind, I am comfortable covering it without insurance, and I would not request he do surgery. My grandpa went to this Dr. for years. I thought it was fortuitous when I scheduled an appointment at MN Lung and got him. I have no idea how my grandpa put up with him. I'm not sure how competent he is, but I don't trust him and communication with him and his staff has been awful. He refused to work with me or give me a rehab referral. He suggested lung rehab, gave me the paperwork, and told me to call if they needed an official referral. I had to call many times only to have him say none of that happened.
