Do it and you’ll enjoy a unique luxury glamping experience. This was my first glamp because none of the setups I’ve seen before even come close to the relative luxury and appeal of what’s offered at Mitchell Grass Retreat. Ticked every box, thoroughly impressed our friends and was a memorable experience for all of us!

Mitchell Grass Retreat is situated on the outskirts of Longreach. There are many very large well appointed cabins with canvas walls but hard floors and en suite bathroom facilities. Each has a deck for relaxation. The central meal station provided delicious breakfasts and dinners for our bus tour group. A stay here will be a delight. Highly recommended

Great place, very relaxing and kid friendly. Pool, aircon and bbq all the things that you need for the outback.

If I could rate this place a 6/5 I would. The location is great, a 2 minute drive to Longreach but it feels like you are far away from society, the rooms and everything within are outstanding and the hosts…the best hospitality I have received anywhere in the world. Thankyou for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful glamping experience at Mitchell! We enjoyed it soooooo much and it was the highlight of our roadtrip. When we entered the tent, we were impressed by the facilities and the fine details put together by the team (oh boy the bed was so comfortable and they even had a bathtub!). We highly recommend their BBQ set, their salad and meat/sausages are the best we have tried in AU (we are Asians and we don’t lie)!
