Dr Smallfield is my doctor and he is fantastic. I had an EGD and colonoscopy by him, and I woke up feeling better than I had before. The entire clinic and endoscopy staff are excellent and friendly.
Dr. Smallfield is a gem! After months of being sick & going to several doctors without an answer, he ordered a battery of tests that lead to a Celiac Disease diagnosis. The relief that comes from knowing what is causing my symptoms & how I can get well again means more than the dietary sacrifices being made. My husband (who doesn’t have a gmail account 😊) just wanted to comment about one of the best doctors in the Richmond, VA area, or as far as he is concerned, the United States of America! Dr Richard Mitchell has been his GI doctor for close to 20 years. His bedside manner is impeccable, he listens, understands and shows that he cares. What a rarity in a doctor in today’s time. Dr. Richard Mitchell has been my GI for a handful of years. He genuinely cares about what you have to say and is aware of the insanity of insurance, and explains his thought process (and why) to everything he does and suggests. Highly recommend.
