I have been having some absolutely nightmare haircut experiences here in San Diego since I moved (July 2025). 4 different people, 3 different places. For some reason I can't comprehend, no one seems to understand the basic way I want my hair cut. And they've been straight up rude about it in some cases. I have been going to Mike for about 1.5 years now. He is the best barber in and around downtown, and ever since he took over this place early this year, he has transformed how it runs. Everyone here is a master of their craft and will give you an excellent haircut 10 out of 10 times. Can't recommend this place enough.

Mike is the best barber I have ever had. Someone who cares ALOT about my hair I don’t trust too many people to cut my hair; every time I go to Mike I leave saying this is the best haircut yet. Highly recommend Mitch barbershop if you care about your haircuts and need a GREAT barber!!!!
