I went to see Ken Barone of Mister Transmission to replace the Solenoid in the Valve Body. It all started, when the dashboard in my 2016 Forester lit up like a holiday tree, the ATOil, incline assist, ABS, and other lights were flashing. There was a suggestion at another garage that I needed to replace the whole Valve Body, but Ken felt that replacing the Solenoid was all that was needed. Galo of Active Green & Ross at Steeles and Don Mills, had referred me to Mister Transmission who did a fantastic job of fixing my car.
Had transmission "repaired" in 2018 and since then I drove my Accord 30,000 km and changed the transmission fluid 2x. Transmission now slips after 10 minutes of driving under 50 kph. Spoke to Ken who was my contact in 2018. He was not concerned or willing to give me any idea of what it might cost to have it repaired again. I said I am not looking for a quote and just want some price range. He kept saying bring it in and we'll see. Would not recommend his business. Very positive experience. Ken kept us regularly updated about what needed to be done (clutch replacement) and was totally upfront about pricing. Would thoroughly recommend!
