As the largest professional performing arts organization in the state, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra performs for more than 75, 000 Mississippians each year at more than 120 concerts statewide. Many of our Bravo and Pops Series concerts are performed on our home stage in Thalia Mara Hall, while the Chamber Series is performed in intimate venues throughout Jackson. The MSO is able to provide an excellent concert for any music style. I have been very impressed with ALL the concerts I have attended. The Bravo Series, The Chamber Series, and the Pops Series. Literally something for everyone.
The orchestra is outstanding! The musical selections and vocal performers are always entertaining and performed with excellence. There is a variety of musical categories to appeal to people of varied interests and types of music.
The music was grand- the sound of the orchestra was wonderful
A tribute to Aretha had to be one of the best concerts held at Thalia Mara. I am so glad to have experienced it. What a wonderful show! I'm looking forward to the next Pops in Feb 2020.
