By far the cleanest, most well run facility of its kind I’ve been to. Yeah certain staff members are a little rude or lazy and the groups definitely need some help but overall was a really good experience. I spoke with the psychiatrist daily and felt very in control of my medication. You get to order your own food and pick tv stations which helps feel like you are not in jail. ALEJANDRO on night staff is an absolute legend. Not only was he a cool guy he actually gave a crap about his job and absolutely carried that place.

Absolutely the worst mental hospital to stay at or care for you or your loved one. I came in last month because I was having some suicidal thoughts after taking an antidepressant. Soon as I got there I saw Dr. Ruskin. Boy what an arrogant doctor. I told him what was going on and he dismissed my symptoms and said that he couldn’t help me- then why am I here? It has been over a year since I signed myself out of this facility and my heart still breaks for the person I was then and how this place negatively impacted me. There are a lot of amazing people and resources here, but that wasn’t my experience. My psychiatrist Dr Shapiro miswrote directions on my meds and had me take the wrong dose which felt careless. I wanted to share my family’s experience with the behavioral health unit. My younger sister was admitted to the behavioral unit back in July, she spent about a month there and it really put her on the right track to recovery. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but the staff, nurses, case manager and psychiatrists were all so kind, helpful and supportive to my sister. I appreciate and recommend this hospital, Thank you!
