Thank you so much to the amazing Mission Bernal team for helping me with my dream VBAC! Prenatal care was smooth, and I enjoyed meeting different midwives on the team. I was hoping to find one provider to be more of my primary contact and was able to do that towards the end of pregnancy by working with the receptionist to schedule appointments on specific days when they were in the office. Shout out to Kimberly Cirella who was fantastic! The team was supportive of my VBAC plan and didn’t push for growth scans or early induct... read more
It’s been a little over 3 months since I gave birth and I still feel the same way about Mission Bernal. I wish I could give zero stars. I came here for prenatal care, and the “hot-potato” approach to seeing a physician was alarming from the start. During labor, the lack of transparency became unbearable. My doula was ignored, and the midwife assigned to me (Claire) actually scoffed at me while I was in labor for the first time. The situation deteriorated to the point where I was ready to walk out and have my baby in the park... read more
Awful billing and scheduling experience. You will be told by the physician something is preventative and then because they have to send out to other facilities, they do not do the due diligence to process that information correctly. I have had an awful time trying to get health care services and have zero confidence they will follow through.
Avoid this place for prenatal care. They love to advertise “evidence-based” or “low-intervention” care, but the reality is, they follow the bare minimum protocol to keep you technically within the lines, while completely ignoring optimal health or individualized care. It feels neglectful, transactional, and driven more by system efficiency than genuine patient wellbeing. If you’re looking for anything beyond survival-level care, look elsewhere.
