Really tasty BBQ!! I'm going back!!
Have tried it several times, different items each time. Lots of folks like it, but I just can't. Customer service and atmosphere is good, but the food was just a waste, be it no flavor, or undercooked or dry. This is the first non mom and pop BBQ place I've ever gone, they charge 3x as much for food which is like 10% the quality comparatively... But the city folks here seem to like it. Gave it a 2 instead of a 1 just based on friendly service.
Food is always excellent. Patriotic theme. You place your order and return when your name is called. Serve your own drinks. Very good customer experience. They come around constantly and offer small cups of samples.
My husband and I are both veterans so there's a little bit of a bias there. But he absolutely loves this place. I'm always amazed at how soft and juicy the chicken is. Usually when I get barbecue chicken it's very dry. These guys know how to keep it fresh. Every time we go my husband try something different and every time we go I try a different sauce. I love that there are so many different sauces right there on the table. So far I haven't had a bad meal.
Family spent over $100. No military discount offered here. Ordered three different types of meat...salmon, chicken and brisket which were all dry. Greens had too much vinegar and mac and cheese was just okay. The only thing we enjoyed was the cornbread.
