First time there and I was very surprised at how delicious the food is. I usually don't go to BBQ places because I find the food to be bland. Some will argue that the addition of the sauces will flavor the food but to me you need a good flavored meat and the sauces enhance/add to those flavors, otherwise it just tastes like sauce. The brisket is phenomenal on it's own and the service is very friendly. Definitely a place my husband and I will be returning to.

As you can tell by the picture over half of the ribs were dry and old. That's a bummer 😕. However im glad I ordered 2 individual ribs on the side. 3 outta 10 for me. The Mac n cheese wasn't it for me either. Kind of watery with lack of flavor. 2 outta 10. Baked bakes were ok but not to my liking. 5 outta 10. Wifey co signed with me on the beans also. Stopped by for a quick bite and everything was delicious. I didn't even think I was that hungry, but I finished the 1/4 order of pulled pork - and all the sides. They accidentally gave me cole slaw instead of green beans, but I didn't mind. Within seconds of sitting down, the hostess came by and dropped off the green beans, apologizing for the error. Tried this place for the first time on a Friday night, but it wasn't busy. We wished the woman taking our order at the counter offered a little more of an explanation/rundown of the menu when we asked questions and told her we hadn't been there before. One of our sides wasn't included, but it also wasn't on the bill so we didn't ask about it. The cornbread and mac and cheese sides were very good. Stopped on our way back home to NC mtns. Became a fan of Mission in VA, glad to see them closer to home. Keep doing great work and making good food & the best sweet tea around. Don’t sleep on the yard bird either 😎
