we are mount airy, north carolina's best kept secret in the south.....we do pie art, gourmet cakes for all occasions, cookies as big as your face, fruit danish and turnovers from our orchard, fresh breads and rolls daily, and the best pies in the state....we have been on tv july of 2013 for AMC Showville as a contestant, we were the ANA Agritourism guest speakers 2013, and were featured in Bake Magazine 2013. and just featured in the July 2016 issue of Our State Magazine

RecommendedMiss Angel has always been so welcoming, and her ice creams and pie/bakery shop is amazing. My son and I love to go there a get a brownie or a cookie every now and then. Everything is so good and delicious, you won't be let down if you swing by to have something sweet to kill that sweet tooth.

So many selections of pies, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Pies appear their main specialty so my husband and I took home a beautiful apple pie, perfect for fall season. My husband ate some of the huge cinnamon bun right away and enjoyed the homemade texture. I had a slice of pie later in the day and it was delicious— tart, thick apple slices and flaky crust. I live at Topsail Island, NC and read about Miss Angel's Heavenly Pies from my Our State NC email. I was visiting my cousin in Wytheville, VA and wanted to take a drive down to Mt. Airy to try one of these moonshine pies. I tried the peach and the apple; they were amazing. I will be stopping again on my way through, for another pie. I give 5 stars and two thumbs up.
We visited this bakery and had the good fortune to meet Angela, the owner. She was so friendly and recommended we try the coconut cream pie. We also got a peach and pumpkin pie. They were all delicious!! Highly recommend this bakery!! Thanks, Angela!!

Wow!!! Such amazing cakes and ice cream!!! I had the Peanut Butter Chocolate cake with Hillbilly Mudslide icecream and it was soooooo good!!!! Miss Angel was one of the sweetest women I've ever met by making us feel like family♡ She then invited us to her farm and we are on the way there now to get us some pumpkins!!
We were casually buying a fresh made donut at Miss Angels Farm shortly to find out it was Miss Angel herself making them for us! Not only was the donut delicious but she was so kind. Later that day we went into Miss Angels Heavenly Pies to indulge some more and we ran into Miss Angel again who greeted us like old friends and gave us a short cake that was out of this world! Wonderful food from a wonderful person.
A must visit when in Mount Airy! Delicious pies and desserts! Wine too!
