If I could give 0 I would. I gave her MORE than benefit of the doubt LONGER than I should have. Someone who is NOT trusted nor cares about her patients. When I needed her most, she left me without any response any prescriptions. I begged her for help. Multiple calls, texts, emails. Never one response. I have MORE than enough stories on how awful this doctor was and how unprofessional she was. I have never met a doctor who didnt respond or ignore their patient who needed help the most and needed refills. After begging mental ... read more
Dr. Schroeder is such a great person and psychiatrist. She is excellent at what she does and is very kind and knowledgeable. Her assistant Alex doesn’t always know what to say but he tries to help as well. LOL.
Dr. Schroeder is a kind person, but I had a very frustrating experience with her as a new patient. She adjusted my medication after our first appointment together, and I started to feel down. I called her about it and did not hear back from her for a full week, and then only after calling her a second time. Dr. Schroeder has helped me in more ways than I can possibly describe. I live in Springfield, MO and make the three hour trip every other month. It is worth the drive and the time. When I met her I felt like I was dying. I'd been misdiagnosed for 32 years. She diagnosed me properly and started me on a treatment plan that has stabilized me. She takes the time with me. She's not a part of the machine; she is one of the good ones. I thank God for Dr. Schroeder.
Best psychiatrist I’ve had in 15 years. Meds all balanced and feeling great. Easy to talk and open too and she listens and remembers past conversations without riling through her notes.
If you expect a doctor to tell you “I’m sorry, I’ve had a bad week and scurry past you, the patient, and escape you by running down the exit stairs then yes, she’s for you! Most unprofessional, poor doctor I’ve ever known. Shameful! I am speaking in regards to my loved one that looked to her for help!
Dr. Schroeder's office is located in the city of St. Louis. I found her online and was drawn to her website, which promotes her holistic and individualized treatment approach. She spends 90 minutes with patients at their initial visit, which makes you feel heard. Dr. Schroeder takes in your experiences/opinions as she explains why a certain approach may work better for YOU over alternatives.
