Food was great
This sushi place is actually very conveniently located near point defiance off of Ruston in Tacoma... The service was great, the staff was great, and the atmosphere is actually really nice and clean. But the food was kind of mediocre in terms of how fresh it tasted. A spider roll should never taste fishy. Mine tasted fishy.
I'm gluten free and love sushi, so I'm always ecstatic to find a sushi place that understands gf! They had gf soy sauce on request, and the menu had a blurb at the bottom that said all the sauces are made gf. I was so excited, I ordered the unagi (eel), which I love but never get to order because of the sauce. Turns out, their eel sauce wasn't gf either, but the staff did bring the roll with the sauce on the side (which my friend could eat).
