Don’t waste your time unless you want a strep test. That seems to be the only thing they do here. The practitioner is rude and openly hostile to patients. She won’t look up from her computer or make eye contact with the patient until she absolutely has to look at you. She will then do a cursory exam and offer a strep test- even when no step symptoms are present. Serious waste of time. FWIW: I went to another walk-in two days later, was treated with antibiotics and improved with 24 hours. No strep test involved.
The MinuteClinic has much improved and I was very satisfied with my experience.
Honestly, I choose CVS Minute Clinic every time over even going to our regular doctors. It's so convenient and the skill level is bar none. We are treated in a timely manner and it's so easy to pick up the script while we are there at the pharmacy.
Why is it called a walk-in clinic if you need an appointment. Makes no sense. I didn't have an appointment and the nurse was less than helpful. I felt like I comited a crime not to have an appointment scheduled. The nurse told me she couldn't see me until the next day and to schedule an appointment. Again, is this what a walk-in clinic is about? Very disappointed.
