I would rather go to CVS minute clinic than my pcp. You get taken care of so much better and quicker.
Had a patient seen by practitioner there and according to their notes had symptoms and physical exam findings that were very highly suggestive of a viral infection, and which probably did not require antibiotics, in my opinion, but gave them anyway. They also gave other prescriptions that were clearly not first line or standard of care for the diagnosis given and would likely run an inappropriately higher risk than necessary for the treatment of their symptoms. The nurse practitioner was very knowledgeable and did not rush me through the visit. She spent time listening to me, asking questions and then with the diagnosis. I would highly recommend the MinuteClinic at CVS.
