No culture test for strep, they tried to explain why it’s not necessary even though most hospitals still use it. Suggested I go back to work with 100 degree fever while it’s 90 degrees outside and have a viral infection and wouldn’t write a doctors note to reflect that.
My daughter was seen at this Minute Clinic today for a persistent cough, congestion, and sore throat that has been going on intermittently for SIX weeks. This was her second visit—she's already completed a round of antibiotics. They diagnosed her with a "respiratory infection" and gave her a generic handout saying these usually resolve in 7–10 days and to come back if symptoms persist. Seriously? It’s been SIX WEEKS. The lack of care and empathy by the PA was extremely disappointing. One of the most condescending and argumentative health professionals I’ve ever encountered. After suffering for 4 weeks with ear and sinus pressure & pain, I had to endure a prolonged lecture on the over use of anti-biotics from your provider. The Only reason it gets 2 stars is because I am glad to have it. BUT the main full-time lady there, probably Ann - who others speak of and also have had problems with…. She is so inconsiderate, argumentative, and negatively quizative. She has forever engrained traumatizing memories in me from her words and behaviors. Not traumatizing, but a glimpse at her personality. Today I strolled in to get an antibiotic for sinus issues and I decided to be the bigger half and said thank you for seeing me and her response was “okay”
