The minute clinic at Ditmars and 31st Street is great. The nurse is professional and caring. It is easy to make appointments and helpful.
Don’t go out of your way to come to this place. If you’re passing by, you can check whether it’s open. The MinuteClinic here is honestly very disappointing — it shows as open, but when you get there, it’s actually closed. There’s no way to contact anyone in charge, just a generic customer service number.
Well I’ll be damned, I never had a more pleasant experience in a CVS or with the medical establishment for that matter. I have no medical insurance - I suspected I had strep throat & an ear infection. I called an ENT - $150 to look at my ear, $350 to look at my throat, plus labs and medicine. I went to a CityMD - $250 to be seen, plus unspecified $$$ for lab work and the test would take 3-5 days, which I did not have.
