Come summer, head to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds to catch all the fun at the Minnesota State Fair. Location of one of the biggest and oldest fairs in the U.S., the Fairgrounds have emerged as a tourist destination in their own right. Spread over 320 acres, the grounds contain several old and modern structures to host the different events of the Fair. The Lee and Rose Warner Coliseum hosts most of the livestock shows. The exciting annual milk run starts and finishes at the Fairgrounds every year. Minnesota State Fair Gran... read more

what everybody waits for in the summer Thsi is the thing I look forward to towards the end of Summer. The food, the people its all good. Tickets to get in are only 5 bucks i think. tickets for rides are pretty expensive. Some of the food is pretty high priced also. Sweet martha's cookies, fresh fries, sheese curds, etc. Everythings tasty and delicious. the exhibit halls and buildings are pretty intresting too. There's one ride that stands above all, the skyscraper which is $25 but looks amazing.
It's the fair!!! It's the great Minnesota Get Together! What more needs to be said. This is one activity that we just can't let pass. Besides the food and rides, there is so much more. You get to see many great items for sale, there are a lot of educational exhibits. And who can go to the fair and not go see the horses, pigs and cows. Yes, the fair is pricey--but you can't celebrate the end of summer without it.
Minnesota food fair The minnesota state fair can be called as minnesota food fair as there are lots of different types of food stalls and for me i loved the australian battered potatoes the best. The fair i very crowded on weekends .Lots of free items are given at different stalls.Kids find the rides and farms interesting. The one place where all types of age group can enjoy.Everything is bit costly but worth visiting. PROS: Great crowdy place CONS: Everything is expensive
Great fun for all It's a great time for everyone! No matter what your age there is something for you to do and see. Many events going on , entertainment at the grandstand gets big names. Rides for all ages. All kinds of food on a stick and more. Sweet Martha's cookies are a favorite for all. Exhibits in all the building and many thing to buy. The only bad thing is the crowds if you go on the weekends or evenings. You can take the bus from different shopping centers around. Which we always do it is so easy drop you off right ... read more
My favorite thing to do! I LOVE THE FAIR! Being from California, we did not have ANYTHING like this! I have lived here 11 years and have gone every year at least once. I can't imagine I will ever miss a year! (I even went when I was in labor and having 5 minute contractions!) (That wasn't the smartest thing I've ever done). They have all the food in the world you could ever want! They also have all the gadgets and gizmos for you to buy! Like infomericals? You can get anything you want here and hear the sales pitch live! My f... read more
Deep Fried Fun on a Stick! Ever had a deep fried candy bar? What about a pork chop on a stick? Walleye on a stick? Cheesecake on a stick? You can even get your veggies -- deep fried on a stick! The Minnesota State Fair is more than just food, food, and more food. There are tons of rides for adults and little kids. Games galore. All kinds of concerts and shows, some that cost extra, and some that come with the price of admission to the fair. Then you have all the exhibits -- the agriculture, the animals, and the award-winning... read more
The great Minnesota get together A huge state fair with lots to see. They have tons of food--lots of it on a stick. The malts at the dairy building are great as is the corn on the cob. They have lots of tractors, agriculture and other things to see. They have rides for adults and kids and many barns with animals. They also have a building where baby animals are born throughout the fair. Runs end of Aug through labor day. Go early so its not so dirty.
awesome The MN state fair is really cool. Make sure to bring lots of money however. The food is simply amazing. From alligator, cotton candy, anything you can think of on a stick.... There are also neat rides. Bring comfy shoes!!!! You'll regret it if you don't. There's so much to see and not enough time for it all. Not my idea of bringing the young ones in. Have to keep an extra eye on the little ones. Tons of people. But fun never the less.
