This one thousand acre attraction located just west of Minneapolis is a gardener's paradise. It is also the perfect spot for anyone who simply wishes to visit a beautiful and peaceful place. The University of Minnesota, which owns the arboretum, conducts research here and offers a wide variety of educational programs. Several miles of walking paths weave through the gardens, with a lane along side for those who wish to drive.

The sound of the wind blowing through the coniferous trees is amazing.
So beautiful at this time of year. I love all the water features.
The year round change in the gardens always makes for an interesting adventure, as the seasons change so does the beauty of the area. While the roses are waning, there are still those that continue to bloom. The grasses are in their fall splendor. The new Tashjian Bee center gives even more reason to make a trip out there.
Lots of flowers to get good pictures. There are also quite a few herb gardens to teach you what each one is used for. Love it! =)
Beautiful outdoor scenery and amazing buildings indoors as well Great meeting space and family fun
A group of 25 from our St. Paul Church spent the afternoon in the beautiful gardens and buildings. The tram driver was incredible. So impressed with the Big Bugs and all the art that has been added to the site. The flowers were incredible for mid September, the food in the restaurant was great. As a result we purchased a membership so we can get back out their soon and see more.
