This one thousand acre attraction located just west of Minneapolis is a gardener's paradise. It is also the perfect spot for anyone who simply wishes to visit a beautiful and peaceful place. The University of Minnesota, which owns the arboretum, conducts research here and offers a wide variety of educational programs. Several miles of walking paths weave through the gardens, with a lane along side for those who wish to drive.

My advice: Get married here! Gorgeous gardens and perfect for an intimate ceremony or a larger one. Carissa was VERY responsive and helpful! The staff on the day of were also VERY helpful! Everyone and everything was perfect. We ended up not doing a meal here because of cost and a small budget but would have totally had the whole event here if possible!

My recommendation is to drive the 3 mile drive first then park. It would've been easier if I known that ahead of time then I could of been aware of location to walk to see the sculptures snd maze etc. Map was confusing in some hiking spots. Over all was a great day. Thank you!
