Came in with a dog bite and communicated that i was afraid of nerve damage 4 times through out my visit. They gave me a tetanus shot, an antibiotic, and literally put a bandaid on it. No cleaning, no dressing, still had visible drainage coming from the wound, bandaid and out the door with you. Would not address any concerns about the numbness, kept saying that it's just from swelling despite the fact that i felt it immediately. The Emergency Department at the Minneapolis VAMC is excellent. Never had any issues dealing with the employees just great service. Better than the Denver VAMC in Aurora, CO. by a long shot. If I had stayed in Denver, CO. I would be dead! Thank God I moved to Minnesota in 2019. The Minneapolis VAMC is a 5 star hospital and I thank the good Lord everyday for its existence. It literally saved my life as I suffer from a unique and rare autoimmune disease.
VA takes great care of veterans. The wait time very in the ER on time of day and day of week. They do their best to serve all those who serve as timely as possible. Thank you!!!!
They are very organized and very caring staff.
