I have been so blessed to be able to utilize the Minneapolis VA. I tell everyone it’s just As good or better than any of my previous healthcare providers prior to me receiving my 10% disability.
My husband and I have been treated horribly by the VA after they botched his surgery for esophageal cancer. They broke a rib, punctured a lung, and left a staple in for 5 yrs that caused vomiting every morning and after every meal (they missed the staple even though he was scanned every 3 months for 2 yrs and every 6 months for 3 yrs). Once the staple was removed, they ordered a stress test where he had a bad reaction to the radioactive dye. I've utilized VA healthcare in Minnesota, Virginia, and North Carolina, and the Minneapolis VA has by far been the best. I've been able to get my appointments scheduled in a very timely manner, my primary care clinic has been attentive and supported my healthcare needs; most recently a referral to ENT. The ENT clinic was also very attentive and put together a plan to address my issues, this included surgery at their outpatient surgery clinic.
