Service was OK years ago, but the staff have changed the past few years and I can't justify the high labour costs and parts markups. They have also left frustrating service issues behind that I keep finding when working on the car myself - makes me think they are not so competent: 1. The turbo intake pipe is known to become heat-rotted. It probably got damaged during a repair, which is common, and instead of letting me know, they wrapped it in tape!! 2. I try to avoid dealership service because of the cost, but I had a problem that I thought needed Mini-specific attention. Ready to pay extra I expected great service. The people were nice, the service was not. Staff were 20 minutes late arriving for my 7AM appointment; I got a note from them that the car was ready, after only one of three jobs were completed; when I went to pick it up I found the car parked unlocked in their open lot; and when I was driving home the warning came on that my rear light was out. I was shopping around for a car for a few weeks and had been to a few dealerships, and I must say folks at Mini Downtown really spend the time and effort in making a customer happy. I worked with Nick who was very methodical and thoughtful in explaining all the features of the car and then took his time to understand my requirement before making his recommendation which turned out to be amazing. I highly recommend working with Nick as he made the end to end process very easy and simple.
I have been coming here for service for the last decade. I have own and driven all mini models and I absolutely recommend Mini Toronto. All their technicians are experts and are very knowledgeable with everything mini. Aldrick and Tony are excellent, always ready to help. The department manager Tim does a great job at making sure customer service is their top priority.
