As someone who has been in/out of therapy my entire life, I’ve never had a Therapist help me like Dr. Renee. She is unconventional in her methods, offers tangible resources/advice, and holds me accountable when needed. Clearly, she is not for everyone, but therapy is not a one-sided discussion, you must put in the work to see positive results. I highly recommend her services if you have struggled (as I have), and are looking for a Therapist that understands somatic therapy, human behavior, and who really cares.

I am shocked at the low reviews. I saw Dr. Michaels during the years of 2018-2020. During a very low couple of years in my life. I always tell others that she was the best therapist I've ever had. I don’t recommend her as a therapist. She went on and on about how much she liked my office background on zoom and was more focused on trying to get me to design an office for her as one of my ‘therapy homework assignments’ than trying to help me with the complex PTSD that I have from years of psychological abuse. Sorry but that seemed predatory & narcissistic and I don’t need more people like that in my life, especially from a ‘therapist’.

I saw Dr Michael’s in June of 2022 to get help with my Complex Trauma PTSD, anxiety, and panic attacks. Dr Michael’s said she is “trauma informed” so I had an expectation that she would be patient, empathetic, mindful that I feel safe, and mindful to NOT re-traumatize me. Nope. At my first session during the ‘initial assessment,’ she was focused on her computer, asking a bunch of questions, and typing my responses. She showed absolutely no sensitivity for me when asking questions about my family, my parents, or my childhood.... read more
