I started counseling with John Avritt two years ago. As a sexual abuse survivor, I was very leery of seeing a male therapist, for obvious reasons. I soon found out that John is a very kind, caring, and non-threatening counselor. With John’s help, I am able to talk through my abuse in a very safe space, without fear of being threatened by a male presence.
