My therapist is absolutely wonderful. She is amazing and really helped me through some very difficult times. However, the cancellation policy is insane. You need to cancel your appointment at least 48 hours before the start time otherwise you are to pay a $100 cancellation fee. This is absolutely ridiculous! And when I called them and requested that they waive the fee due to a personal emergency, the staff asked me what kind of emergency it was! My provider is excellent and I’ve never once had an issue with them or our time together. However, the $100 fee that applies to both cancellations and rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice is absurd. There’s a penalty for being sick now? There’s a penalty for forgetting to cancel or reschedule when you have ADHD, depression, or anxiety? What if there’s a family emergency? What if I have to take my pet to the vet? Mindpath has some talented Therapists and Psychiatrists that do a wonderful job. However, I do not recommend anyone see them as their billing dept is a MESS. I have been with them since before it was Mindpath and billing has been a nightmare my entire 6 years with them. I am CONSTANTLY fighting with their billing department about bills that I am not responsible for. We go back and forth until they figure out where their billing team has messed up.
